Terms of Pool Service
Howdy!
First off, thank you so much for having us clean your pool! There’s a ton of other pool businesses out there so thank you for your business thus far! This is a service agreement and by continuing service you are consenting to the following statements. The reason I wrote this is because I’ve run into some instances where I’ve been conscience-bound to fix and replace items that we break during service. When working on equipment I’ve broken brittle hose connectors, bags, handles, and other things and I’ve replaced some of them for free. The central takeaway is that I will not be financially responsible for replacing all the things that we damage when we come to maintain the pool. For example, when brushing around the pool there’s light covers and pool return jets that can come off. Additionally, cleaner hoses can snap, cleaner bags can tear, and valve handles and equipment may break during operation. On top of that, while we do brush and maintain chemical balance, the chemicals we add may scale the tiling of the pool over time or etch the bottom. Of course, there's a difference between us negligently turning a valve and draining your pool or accidentally leaving a hose running and flooding the pool, and the kind of things described above. The former would be my fault but the later will not be my responsibility. If you were to clean the pool, these things could happen to you as well. Thus, while we may be the ones who actually initiate these damages when we come to clean your pool, the same thing could happen to you if you cleaned it and I won’t be financially responsible for such damages. You may think all this goes without saying, but I feel better making sure we're on the same page when it comes to big investments and responsibilities like your pool. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns and thanks again for having us clean your pool!
